I play hearthstones for like 1-2 weeks now and really do like it alot and understand the core mechanics..

But when it comes to gold i dont know what to do ..

Should i play arena?
- tried this 3 times ( 5, 4, 3 )

Should i buy booster packs?
- If so, which one? And why? Is there any list of included cards?

Or should i save up for the "addons"?

I am a free to play gamer ( at the moment at least ) if this affects the answer

Adventure then packs/arena if you enjoy arena. Adventures are very important.

the game was released more than about 1.5 years ago, so starting a free to play account is pretty hard if you want to reach higher levels in ranked
expansions are the most gold effecients i'd say (naxxramas and blackrock mountain) they'll help you to make better decks
buying them with gold will cost you 7.000 golds, which is like 3-4 months without buying anything else of farm
so to make it clear ; if you want to be competitive, buy expansions - if you enjoy arena, play arena (the drafts are random, buying expansions wont change anything)

Naxx is important.
Blackrock only has Emperor, Flamewaker, Imp Gang (Patron if you go for that specific deck)

So it's best to invest for naxx?
Each stage costs 700 and has one oppenent, right?

Looks reaaaaaly expensive tbh

3 to 5 opponents on normal (the same for heroic) + 1 or 2 class challenges

3500 gold for 29 cards in-meta competitive cards (14 non-legends, 1 legend) (54 cards total in Naxx)
Or you can buy 35 packs, most of which will be trash (you'll probably get 2 legends with no guarantee on them being good at all)

It's guaranteed strong cards.

For someone that's just starting I would say get a decent amount of classic packs. Once you have a bunch of the rares, go for Naxx. Then GvG.

All of those cards are prominent in the meta doe.

Yeah except it's only 3 cards. 2 are class cards.
