What does "Ramp" mean
eg/ ramp druid

It means the power of your board "ramps up" as the game goes on by using mana acceleration to get big hitters out more quickly than your opponent.

more specifically it refers to the curve of your deck.

Neither of the above is really correct, it's short for mana ramp meaning a deck that boosts its mana output via cards like wild growth and nourish.

Ramp druid as a deck archetype has come to mean a deck with double wild growth and big clunky minions, but technically any druid that has ramp is a ramp druid

nourish is a good example of what ramp means.Other than that,ramp druids use lots of taunts.

Ramp refers to a Magic The Gathering card called "Rampant Growth"
These types of decks try to get as much mana as fast as possible so they pull out more big and expensive minions.

ie The average mana cost in these decks is higher than other decks because they can afford to do so. (Or they have other means of spending this tons of mana)

I'm pretty sure the specific term "ramp" came out with Rampant Growth. Had a different name before then.
