Average is 20 packs per legend I believe (~1% chance per card)

Iirc opening 40 packs without a legendary is like a 10% chance. But someone gathered data of expansion preorders and with thousands of pack openings, no one went 40 without a legendary.

So it should have happened but it didn't. The highest streak of pack openings without a legendary was like 38.

So people think there's a hidden limit of 40 packs without a legendary now.

Could be that your chance accelerates over each pack and then resets when you get one
So after like 20-25 it starts ramping up fast

As long as quest Warrior is meta, OTK Quest Mage can never exist...

This could be the same thing with apprentices + Antonidas

yea dirty rat is blizzard wet dream, the card that can break any creature reliant combo AND playable as a 2-of

this saddens me =(

Yeah, but imho it's not as bad as in the countless reno mirrors in MSOG ^^
But yeah, I played taunt warrior to legend today and in the second to last game I was up against a mage.
T5 rat -> alex. Had whirlwind and execute in hand. Mage conceded.
I really don't like playing taunt warrior and also dislike dirty rat but there were soooo many mages on rank 1

I played a freeze mage the other day as taunt warrior and both my dirty rats pulled draw minions. I was still able to overcome Alex + multiple antonidas fireballs + 2x pyroblast by just never playing sulfuras and armoring every turn. Reminds me of the olden days of control warrior vs freeze mage where mage basically just had to concede.

Gotta think a lot about when to play the dirty rats against a mage

Definitely not early game, for starters

Basically you want to wait for them to end their turn with 5+ mana left over and their hand isn't 9 cards
If they have 8 cards and didn't play a draw minion then it's likely they didn't have one.
