Oh that's good news then

I wonder what the player-base and sales will look like for the new expansion. I haven't been saving up gold, could've been. This new change will be pretty big even for players will full collections (as far as price scheme goes). I'm guessing the math on a second full expansion in a row, and more legendaries per expansion, might translate to a cost/year increase (measured as an average of the most recent 2 years) of 40% or so?

I still think they need to do a major free expansion that includes:
- nerfs and buffs on base set cards
- one or more major features on a similar scale to brawl, but more successful and well-received than brawls
- one full expansion (wing or pack equivalent) of free cards, to set a standard that every 2 years a free expansion is added into the standard rotation card pool
- additional graphics and audio to improve the visual quality of the game
- general improvements to arena/brawls/ladder, even minor and medium-level tweaks that show forward-thinking and vision

That, or the price of Hearthstone should go down. Look at Diablo, big mess to clean up. That's where coasting leads. I think Hearthstone is growing and doing well though, so what do I know. But, Diablo 3's sales were amazing, so again... not sure what Blizzard considers the state of things.

Tortollan is interesting but 8 cost, really? Spikeridged Steed is a great addition. Other two cards more of the same old. Spirit Echo obviously better than the warrior counterpart, but it's like watching an old crippled card get updated with a slightly better version... wooo... exciting? Cornered Sentry is fine and offers some play options.

The problem though is all 4 cards don't really introduce anything other than different ways to add 1 + 1 = 2. It's the fate Hearthstone is doomed to because they chose simplistic wording, touch-and-go gameplay, no stack, and random stuff. While simplistic wording might be okay, no stack (ex. countering on the opponent's turn, saving mana for the opponent's turn) has really limited what Hearthstone is as a game. Granted, the player-base afk's so much (b/c most ppl watching porn or youtube while playing).

Spirit echo is dope as fuck but idk that it'll see play.

According to thijs on stream, a tournament mode in hearthstone will come "soon". I hope so, I would love a tournament ladder.

too much time to waste, went for double legend this season

My thoughts exactly. Even though soggoth didn't see play, I can see this being in a ramp Druid deck. Imagine a 12/12 on turn 5 or 6 that can't be targeted.
