We need to really understand the meaning of average here..
a number expressing the central or typical value in a set of data, in particular the mode, median, or (most commonly) the mean, which is calculated by dividing the sum of the values in the set by their number.
So yeah while 1:40 seems higher then a more realistic ratio is because sample size will always vary.. I truly believe 1:40 is the 'average' and when you've pulled more then this you're really just getting lucky.
Again.. some people are pulling 1:20, and in some insane cases we're seeing nearly 1:10.. But if you can understand averages, the fact that some people are not seeing a second legendary before 1:79 brings the average a lot closer to 1:40. personally I think the 'normal ammount' of leg pulls is close to 1:30 - 1:35 or so, but may as well just expect 1:40 if you're digging for legends//dust. No point in hyping yourself up in thinking you will get 1:10 when in fact youre more likely to get 1:40.
In fact you can end up having better or worse results..
we can argue this all day.. If youre expecting more then 1:40 you will in most cases be disappointed.
1:40 is average, 1:30 above average, 1:20 is very lucky,
not many of us can say we're pulling 4 legends every 80 packs.
