It wasn't nearly as popular deck as aggro Shaman is iirc. And it had counters.

Also I just loved playing it lol, but my favorite was pre-Naxx combo Hunter.

I think the reason it wasn't quite as popular is probably because the tournament scene hadn't cemented itself... Also I know from my experience - during naxx I definitely didn't have a full collection... likely a lot of people still building collections//learning the game - paying less attention to the actual 'meta'

I loved my deathrattle priest.. lol

What exactly counted under taker? The best most classes could do was like hex or owl. Both of which caused a MASSIVE loss in tempo lol. Oh and pain... but priest was pretty trash at this point if i remember correctly.

errr priest wasn't too bad... Kolento by that point kinda wrecking everyone with it.

e/

Meta is currently missing a Dr.Boom.. :3 a reason to actually play a more midrange list.

There are no really powerful neutral drops anymore it seems... most decks are like 25 class cards these days :/

I mean it isn't the same kind of powerful as drboom but kazakus is pretty strong.

Although i guess that does limit your deck a LOT unlike drboom where you could slap it into any list.

Kazzakus though only fits in reno decks... -- off the current meta topic again.. I cant wait to see what blizzard does to compensate the 'single card deck' archetype when reno is gone... Son of reno? 3 mana 2/3 heal 15? :3

These class specific neutral cards - the 3 class ones are a bunch of shit imo..

Meta is missing a real reason to want to play midrange... powerful neutral cards like boom/loatheb/etc.. maybe loatheb is a bad example but eh

Kazakkus is a good start for the 'single card deck' archetype powercreep.. but man he's way too inconsistent to be making.. 'Kazakus decks.' doesn't sound as effective as 'reno decks'

I honestly miss loatheb.

I mean it was probably too strong, but dropping it on turn 7 vs mages or turn 9 vs old druids was a fucking glorious feeling lol.

/e and yes i'm curious about the same thing. If reno is gone and nothing replaces it the archetype will just simply die. Outright. There's really no doubt about it lol.

They'll have to create some ridiculously powerful 'single' cards or w/e to work with the archetype... but with reno gone? He's literally holding the archetypes foundation together.. How useless are these cards going to be post rotation?

lol.. Loatheb besttheb.. but really -- not having those powerful midrange options are literally toxic to the meta.. -- especially one with such great early game options..

I'm 99% sure blizzard didn't expect small time buc to be as good as it is. If small time buc gets the warsong treatment patches would be a LOT less of an issue lol.

Yeah.. The scary thing though.. literally none of warriors weapons are rotating out.
Shaman and rogue too won't be losing any.

would pretty much need a nerf to buc - but the thing is, he's a pretty fairly statted card... its just in conjunction with feral claw/1/3 hook that he's insane.

Hope blizzard has something figured out for the next expansion..

e/ oh and to that guy a few pages back.. decided to play jade druid tonight. Haven't lost a game. :/

Feral claw? You mean spirit? :p

Also shaman may not be losing weapons but they are losing totem golem and tunnel trogg so their aggro will most certainly take a hit unless blizzard pushes more aggro cards for them. (pls no)

Which jade druid are you using? The zooey one or the double gadget arcane giant one?
