Just played one of the coolest games of Hearthstone I've ever played I think.
Reno Mage mirror. Both in fatigue, both have Ice Block up.
He plays Deathwing killing the whole board and his hand. I'm at 14, he's at 19. I have 12 burn in hand. I just took 2 fatigue damage, he takes 3 next turn.
I have nothing to deal with Deathwing except my burn which I lose if I use. If I do nothing, I get domed with Deathwing for 12 (down to 2) and lose to fatigue next turn. I have Arcane Intellect in hand, so I play it and take 3+4 = 7 damage, bringing me down to 7, preventing him from bringing my health down enough to die to fatigue. Now if he pings and hits my face, he can only pop me at 6 health at best, and I take only 5 damage to fatigue the next turn leaving me at 1 health and giving me an extra turn.
He now has 16 health from the 3 fatigue he just took, I throw my 12 burn to face, bringing him to 4, and he dies to 4 fatigue damage.
I guess maybe not that crazy of a play, probably common for people who play a lot of Freeze Mage, but I've seen commentators go crazy in tournaments for less lol. I love those Ice Block situations where you have to deliberately take damage to avoid dying. Reno Mage mirror seems super skill intensive.
Makes me misss echo giant mirror, where you alex'd yourself to 15 and pinged jrself to play ur giants, while healing the opponent to win haha
