Reno allows players to win games they shouldn't have by hitting a reset button on their life total, allowing them to make less than ideal plays more often with less of a consequence compared to someone who cannot heal all their health with 1 card

Once Reno rotates out, these players will lose their crutch but will still make stupid plays because they are so used to Reno being there ready to bail them out

Also, a card the deck is based around wouldn't be called a crutch, more likely the linchpin

Yet you continue to call it a crutch....?

Reno is a linchpin to a Reno deck, it's vital to it's success

It's a crutch in the way it's what supporting people with bad decisions like a real crutch supports a person with a bad knee

As someone who plays Reno decks and aggro decks, I am going to have to disagree with you. I get away with playing suboptimally
In aggro decks way more often than Reno decks.

I do agree that a reset button is not a good mechanic for the game, but I disagree that it lets Reno decks get away with playing poorly.

The handlock archetype would be dead without Reno... heh

You could say he's a kind of metaphorical crutch to the whole archetype. without him.. Would there be any handlocks?

hehe but definitely not a players crutch.. Handlock always has taken a lot of decision making.

I think this entire mindset is kind of what deters me from really wanting to grind this meta..

Its such a meme meta... Every deck basing around a minion archetype..

Theres no longer traditional archetypes.. but theres meme pirate jade dragon bs.

grrllppp
