Still trying to figure out what he meant.

I think he refers to legend as Rank 1.

So what I think he really meant is:

after I get to legend and am like rank 300, why do I still get to play vs people that aren't in legend (Rank 1 & 2 for example)

Ah yes. Just queue vs rank 1 and 2s easy game.

Yeah.. playing vs players that are trying hard with top meta decks & that mostly have been legend before sure is easy.

Even starting from rank 5 you mostly see legend players.

Of course. Anyone who can reach 5+ is usually good enough for legend. Just a matter of how many games you're gonna play at that point.
