They have a saying for that. Dont reinvent the wheel.

The idea is that others have spent countless hours testing and improving and finding out what works, and it would be foolish and time-wasting not to learn from it.

It also helps to play meta decks to learn what your opponents are playing and how they are likely to play in certain situations.

But by all means, stick with the rank 20 homebrews and scoff at people who play successful decks. It doesnt bother me any.

you aren't reinventing the wheel
you are inventing something completely unrelated to a wheel
its a new invention
and you are scared to invent
that is ok

Gotta get in on this.
If I came to you and said "here are the winning lotto numbers for tonight, guaranteed to win the jackpot"

Would you really reply "I like to think for myself, therefore I will choose my own numbers"

Copying a proven deck isn't dumb, that is how most card games work. Pros have all day and night to work on and tune decks. That's like not taking advice from a plumber because he is a pro and you prefer to be a rainbow. Sure you can change cards as meta evolves but the bases of the pro decks are proven to work.

idk if you understood what I meant. I'm not saying i invented the wheel.

I mean, you've invented your own poop sandwich. I guess you are right, thats not a wheel.

I'm not personally scared to invent, I tweak things all the time, but i'm also an experienced player and smart enough to learn and borrow from others instead of shaking my fist at success.

Trying out proven decks is especially helpful to new players who could use the experience to understand why they work in practice.

"once coldlight is gone there is only one battle cry"

"no there's 3 because of coldlights."

....

Kind of a weird point to make lol.

Once all the battlecries in the deck are gone there aren't any battlecries for Brann! No shit.

I believe they are saying remove coldlight. Then there is only 1 battlecry in the whole deck. Not once it is played

enemy 10 health
me 3 health
enemy has like 5-6 cards down
one of them makes him draw 3 cards and discard them when i play a card.
i played 4-5 cards but i had nothing to stop his guys from killing me next turn so i clicked conceed right away
he drew so many cards he draw all of his cards.. i think i would have won if i waited in game and didnt conceed

No not at all a weird point.

Coldlights are bad, take them out. Since you took out coldlights, take out brann too.

This isn't rocket science lmfao.

Thanks for clarifying, but the whole point of the deck is to try to use coldlights. Obviously netdecks will be better, some people like to experiment.
