blizzard stated expansions will last 2 calendar yrs from release for standard

they've also started everything will rotate at once when the rotation hits

When we release the first new Expansion each year, every set that wasn’t released in the same year or the year prior will cycle out and no longer be part of the Standard format."


pretty sure "same year" applies to that calendar year

We are all aware of how they are performing right now...
But against other control decks they mostly dominate (aside from some OTK decks), and with the huge priest buffs coming they should be competitively strong. Therefore becoming a control "powerhouse"
