i actually really like having them both. in the games ive played so far i draw through so much of my deck that it's not really a problem.




been tweeking it around as i go, and this is what I"ve got atm

currently ive gone from rank 16 to rank 11 with only 1 loss D:

took out soulfire for shadowbolt since the discard usually hurts due to the deck being so heavy. Altho losing 4 will matter at one point.


i got a question about how/when to play jarraxus

so far, theres only been one game that i played him early and that was vs a contrl priest. Other times i've held on to him till farily late, at least after i play reno.


Like my last 2 wins were both in fatigue where i didn't play him till i was in fatigue or a card or two away. Just beat bran/doomcaller combo thun warrior and i didn't feel like there was any point i could safely play him :/.


Another question i have about control lock is late game tapping :X. Do you tap late game when the game will probably last to fatigue anyway, but you kinda need a card? I guess best answer would be it's situational? Like vs that controll warrior even tho i was 5-6~ cards away from fatigue, i found myself wanting to tap (and doing so), least once or twice.


And one more question i have is, is it worth using emperor WITHOUT jarraxus in hand? One of the reasons playing jarraxus scares me is cus its pretty much a do nothing play without the reduction <.<

what are key reductions other than jarraxus?

Ugh if you have to go with a bad deck build I'll try to help. :p
I would add defender or sunfury for sure. You have 17 cards above 4 mana, N'zoth, c'thun, rag and jarraxus.

You basically are never going to lose control match ups. Just not gonna happen with that amount of late game. What you need to worry about is early game.. Shaman with even a half decent start is simply going to blow you out of the water, shaman being basically 50% of the decks you're facing that's bad lol.

So my advice is - Barnes - bane of doom

+ sunfury + defender

Barnes doesn't make much sense anyway, most of your minions will just be worthless 1/1s as you don't have many death rattles. Usually Barnes is really good in decks jam packed with deathrattles and/or spell power.. Oh and op totems lol.

yeah i don't really get barnes inclusion in the list i saw as well :X. i just thought it was maybe you could get sylvanas and that's it <.<

one concern i have with those two cards is, if i cut bodies for conditional bodies, wouldn't it be fairly difficult to even get the taunts off? Are they mainly to combo with another play in the same turn like sylvanas or a giant? Is sunfury alright as just a T2 play vs aggro style decks? One problem i have in card games is i try to wait for "maximum" value out of cards even if it's not the right play. Part of it is cus i just donno when i should jam the card (say an ooze or sunfury) vs holding it to get the trigger

LIke example my most recent game held ooze all game, even with a 3/1 axe on board. DIdn't play it till the very end as a tempo play. Now, the warrior did play his gorehowl then concede, so maybe had i played the ooze earlier he would've rekt me <.< didn't see where it came from out of his hand

Barnes pulls sylvanas, loot hoarder, rag, tauren, emp, and brann but brann isn't as useful as the others. (most of the time)

Usually your sunfury is a turn 5 play to follow up giant and force trades. You could choose to add twilight drake instead of defender if you're having trouble with bodies for taunts.

And yeah against a lot of decks turn 2 sunfury is just fine. For instance if sunfury is gonna stop huge toad from hitting you 2-3 times then it's 100% worth to drop it.

does shamans HP care where the totem comes from or just that the totem exists when determining what totem it gives?
