Hundreds of thousands?
10,000fg equates to $100, minus transfer costs (risk of being scammed, having to transfer currency to one thing and another, etc). When Diablo 3 RMAH was around, fg traded for D3 igg, which could then be traded for specific items, and then the specific items could be sold for real $$$.
Hundreds of thousands means you have... thousands and thousands of real dollars worth of WoW stuff? That's a lot.
But I really don't see how working for fg in one game to buy packs in Hearthstone is really worth it. You'll make maybe $2/hour in a game, just work in real life and buy packs in Hearthstone if it's that big a deal.
Well atm wow tokens are worth 1k fg per wow ingame gold is so easy to come buy most of us have tens of millions if not hundreds of millions stashed away from playing so long. Especially these last few expansions being huge gold income w/o working. You can farm 100k gold in 45 minutes with herb/alch now days. Not to mention selling raid spots mounts, playing the auction house, etc.
In 1 weekend of wow you can make enough gold to sell gold on forums or buy people tokens and buy all the adventures and loads of packs with just alch/herb alone. After you add in playing the auction house you get more. Plus wow lets you multibox and they see nothing wrong with it. I don't do it myself but i have friends that do and they can make over 1million gold an hour multiboxing herbing and other things since nodes are shared now days. All you do is buy an account recruit a friend they use token so you make the money back you lost with a free wow month for bringing in a recruit. Then you set up a multibox and go farm and you'll make enough to play for free.
It might not be the most fun thing to do in game but it's easy to do and it's why blizzard only allowed b.net tokens to give b.net balance for games and not their online gear store.
