Wait... So, how does this work?

The card is 7 mana to cast which means there would be 3 mana left at the full 10 mana.

Doesn't it mean that you can only cast 3 or less mana spell card only and you'll lose life accordingly? (Does the mana restriction still in effect or because it's based on life, it is pretty much wide open door?)

Because if there is no "mana restriction" you can cast a siphon soul and still be able to summon a 3 mana minion + having this 7/7 body out right?

I'm under the impression you could still summon a 3 mana minion as well as any spell based on life lost.
