Lets assume the average aggro game is roughly 5 minutes. The average control (going higher than I actually think) is what 12.5 minutes? So Control is 2.5 times longer than aggro. Lets say on average you have about 10% better win rate throughout all possible decks with a control deck vs an aggro deck (55% win rate with aggro and 60.5% with control). That means After 100 games control nets 20 stars in 20.8 hours. Aggro nets 10 stars after 8.33 hours therefor it takes them 16.6 hours to net the same 20 stars that control takes. That means that aggro is indeed better at climbing for stars.
