Ramp into something you can't deal with so they can do face damage. Then finish you off with a face combo.

Hunters just hit you in the face till you lose.

so its strength is in its ramp primarily.

hunters strength is going face

theres a difference..

Druids use big face combos (ramp into big drops or charge/roar)
Hunters use consistent but smaller face damage

How they're played they're both just face decks right now

The reason you want to ramp into something big is so they you can take the board and do damage.
A control deck takes the board just to have the board.

would 2 dmg nerf to fon/roar combo change this? or really make the situation any better? as it is face druid is only running 1 fon.. 4 ramp cards, and nothing above 5 drop, aside from lore/boom.
imo gut roar
give the class a change, finally.. its long overdue.

Yes. 2 damage means they have to do more damage before they can finish you off.

but druid is finishing you off without Force of nature...
youre losing to early face dmg/roar..
2 dmg off fon/roar is so unimpactful its not worth it to even change, even if it put the cards power slightly more in line with its cost.

in fact having the extra dmg on 2 minions, while being less dmg then having buffed a third, leaves you room to have 5 other minions on the board, which will more then likely have at least 2dmg.. and its in these late stages of the game where you even see fon/roar being played.. so yeah.. I don't think the board states are too unrealistic tbh..

anyways... 2 dmg off fon/roar not going to change a thing
druid is already dealing 30+ with said combo..
