In the brawl absolutely, because it gives you a chance to play with initiative. In Tempo mage probably not, because you typically don't need to establish that much initiative and the coin can give you great flamewaker synergy,

starting to really like this decklist after messing around with alot of things. Basically get a weapon then do a rediculous amount of damage while controlling board when it makes sense ofc

You are missing some cards pretty important rogue cards in that list: SI, FoK, second Prep, Sap. I'm not sure how running the pirate synergy is going, but the deck would probably be stronger with some healing (either or both of Healbot and Earthern) plus a Belcher and or Loatheb.

Edit - Also Azure Drake is amazing in rogue. And Thalnos if you have him.

I'm enjoying the weird pirate synergy, don't like SI all that much, the prep is basically for sprint or lethal situations. Fan of knives is meh, with current decklist i tend to have strong minion board presence turns 3-5 while having buffed weps. Sap/silence/drake are things im thinking about putting in but i feel like drake is more extending the game then pushing damage, sap/silence though are gg for Ko
