Smells along with tastes vary person to person.

I had plenty of fun grinding with no cards. In fact, I played more when I was grinding in casual than i have since getting most of the cards. By all means though pretend your opinion is common sense.

No thats definitely an opinion. For some, acquiring the cards is part of the fun.
Some people dont necessarily enjoy playing against better people with tier 1-2 decks either.
Not everyone is just like you.

Sure. But my point is that they have to be in a starting position for a very, very long time. And they need to invest a lot of time into the game.

On the plus side, arena can be fun. That's a redeeming aspect.

But the grinding, for a FTP player is quite lengthy. Constructed would purely be a grind. If you're in a deadend job or you're unemployed you might find time, but I don't see it as relaxing for someone who is busy to sit down and grind. Opinions may differ but I'd be willing to bet a majority is alienated from coming into the game who might otherwise play.

The cost of entry for paying players who don't want to grind too too much is also ridiculously high for a non-trading card game. I've paid 20 for the last wing expansion or whatever it cost, but other than that I stopped paying since summer 2015. I invested 500-600 on the game total. I still am missing some cards (nothing necessary). I've never missed a quest or a brawl or a bonus pack.
