Not really lol. For instance.
You play feral spirits .
He double frostbolts/darkbombs/plays war axe/etc
You hero power because you only have 2 mana
He drops a 5 drop.
So you have essentially lost all tempo you gained. This concept keeps overload out of the meta, they released that card that unlocks overloaded crystals and you still don't see any midrange shamans. The only overload you see anymore is crackle/lava burst for finishers in mech shaman.
And yes i know frostbolt/darkbombs wouldn't be very efficient removal, just an example.
