because having boom and antonidas makes it not aggro?^^
I am going to play tempo hunter. it is like a face hunter, but with boom and 1 highmane.
Tempo mage is NOT focused on card advantage, it pukes its hand with flamewaker on board, you brawl it once and it concedes. It has 2 drake and 1/2 arcane intellect, boom antonidas (1 sherp sometimes). Everything else (22-23 cards) is going full face.
Tempo means you play cards to gain advantaged in time and mana, like rogue sapping you. The only tempo in this mage deck is that your games are so short that u get 100 gold faster in your day.
The inclusion of Boom and Antonidas is not WHY tempo mage is not an aggro deck, but it is part of it.
Tempo mage can effectively play a slow board control strategy and still win. Its goal is not to kill the opponent as fast as possible, which by definition makes it not an aggro deck.
A deck not being based on card advantage certainly does not make it an aggro deck. TEMPO is a crucial part of the game which can take many forms
