I suppose I will rephrase as well: Excavated evil is more relevant in standard than lightbomb was prior to standard rotation. Excavated evil is ridiculously strong in the current metagame, given the lists being played.

The rephrase wasn't necessary.

Lightbomb was incredibly relevant. Double lightbomb was in most decks.

I have to agree that Lightbomb was pretty freaking insane.

Lightbomb was good. That's not the point.

The point is that excavated evil is ridiculously powerful in the meta right now. It is far more relevant than lightbomb was, because excavated evil will heavily shape the current meta if priests pick up on the usefulness of the card currently.

I think you underestimate how powerful Lightbomb was.

I've played literally thousands of games as priest... I only ran 1 in my last 'wild' list or w/e.
But yeah I guess 2 was very common.. As relevant as lightbomb was; priest are not hurting for aoe.. Lightbomb is missed though.

Excavated evil is literally garbage. Lightbomb was used mostly as a 1 of because of its ability to hard reset the board of big threats, excated evil is like a glorified pyro play in a sense..
you already have auchenai/embrace double circle, holy nova, and pyromancer... the fact that people are running less 'big' threats like giants//boom makes not having lightbomb 'okay'
lightbomb was better in every instance. It also dipped into spellpower, which was common with velens chosen.

If I can hit legend in standard with priest i'll post the lists I played.. both wild/standard versions. :3
