It's a deck that has little interaction with their opponent. Patron, for instance, just sits there getting cards and not dying and then they just win. Face hunter just hits you in the face until the game is over (aside from the most extreme favorable trades)
Secret Pally just floods the board with random minions and attacks you.

Control Warrior on the other hand actually plays specific minions at specific times to counter what they expect you to do and actually plans multiple turns ahead.
If you have to think multiple turns ahead what your opponent will be playing and have to plan accordingly it's not a cancer deck.

Patron required planning how to survive and when the burst is big neough.

I was talking about beta CW,
There weren't any competive 4-5 slots, you could stall the game draw many cards and combos like sylv+brawl made sure you can drop your legendaries turn by turn.
Pagle used to draw cards at the end of your turn and the 0/4 stats made it hard to remove back then.

The only decks having decent winchances was aggropaladin, controlpriest and handlock.
After Beta the CW got worse without pagle, then Naxx decreased winchances again.

Controlwarrior in slow Meta was the #1 deck.

Midrange secret pally is far more common than the aggro version IME. Midrange hunter is still huge. Midrange/control pally has become very popular. Many tempo mages are midrangey. Control and fatigue warriors are popular. Dragon priest and freeze mage are somewhat popular.

At rank 3+ I find the majority of my matchups are against non-aggro decks.

I thought the only reason we play is to pull Dr. Balanced from unstable E-Sportal?
