You can honestly progress pretty far with just a basic deck... -- Try looking online for a basic deck of your favorite class or something, learn the cards/deck metas. and get grinding some gold. profit

Let me put something in perspective here.

By your logic, every TCG/CCG is p2w.
Take Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh!, Magic, Digimon, or any other card game for example:
You either BUY THE CARDS or you trade for them.
That's not paying to win - that's paying to play.
