I know this probably is a very context specific question but I'll ask anyway. If you are playing handlock and have both twilight drake and mountain giant in hand on turn 4, what is the thought process on which one to play?

In this situation i'll go with drake first almost always. Next turn you can tap+giant, so it's more mana efficient. I need good reason to play giant first.

Go with the giant unless you face a slow control deck which isn't shaman. You can be sure that the 4-1 Drake won't stay alive against aggressive decks and they even get rid of your watcher.

Everybody plays pretty aggressive decks nowdays and they all use 1-2 owls. Retaunted Giants are guaranteed to eat 2-3 aggressive minions/spells.
Playing Drake often forces you to play belcher next turn. Better use the drake in combos on T8-10.

Especially decks like Patron warrior need to be pushed into a corner before they an play taurissan.

Also there are several versions of Handlocks nowdays. Demonlocks, Dragonlocks and Classic Handlock. Dragonlocks switched to Twilight Guardian.

The key of Handlock decks is being on low life while having full control.

I see all these little arguments and fights in this sub.. :(

I've never experienced such amount of ego and immaturity in other online games. I wonder if this is more a CCG player characteristic? (I'm new to card games)

Hearthpwn is the same. Recently added friends in bnet rarely have something positive to say...

sucks ^^

Ive always loved this question. Here's my typical play and if you're curious why juse ask, I'm on mobile so I don't want to type a whole guide.

Priest - Drake
Druid - Giant
Shaman - Neither usually. If no better play, Drake.
Warrior - Drake if they have Acolyte/Armorsmith/. Giant if not. This is the hardest decision IMO
Hunter - Neither. If you have to, Drake to force out a silence.
Rogue - Drake
Mage - Drake
Warlock - Giant. If Zoo, Drake
Paladin - Drake

Had a similar arena game not long ago. Had lethal opponenet had the 1/8 healer out of a skygolem.
Reverseswitch 3 Power Overwhelmings..... and I get attacked by a 20/8.
