its the most played game and the most viewed, so its #1 no matter its quality
it cant become the #1 online card game if its already the #1 card game
now there is always space for improvements, but blizzard is the company who showed the way to online card games to casuals, so i doubt it will die anytime soon
also, the gameplay is important, but communication and universe are too, for example, i started playing because i love the warcraft universe and i also keep playing because i love seeing and play mobs i fought in wow
i doubt people love the witcher game as much as they (used to) love warcraft... lol
