if you're fatigue you could save sylv and a shield slam for big threats like fordring.
Usually Death's Bite can take care of the 1 dmg needed for either grom or executes.
slam is good on turn 5 or up with AoP for a double draw.
That owl.....
If I may offer some advice, drop the owl, a shield block, and CTMs, and add something like harrison/nefarian.
you're looking at late game plays with early eliminators.
instead, you will be using weps and spells to kill off threats... but use your good judgement here... you can easily drop down to 15 health then turn the tide in 1-2 turns by clearing the board and building armor.
I usually save the shieldmaidens for shield slams or tanking up.

:\ not sure if it's what you wanted or if you even need advice anymore.
Control and fatigue warrior are my favorite decks though.
edit:
idk about smiths being useless ever. Play them both in late game...
If your wep ww's thats four armor. Then, afterward, if they die from dmg you will have gained eight armor.
