So if a new born baby says 5x5 is 25 and a 50 year experience mathematician says 5x5 is 24, does that mean 5x5 is 24? No point in even looking into it, right, because the mathematician has a higher status?

You can assume.
Doesn't mean you're right at all.

You think you are being logical, but you are coming across as a snot nosed kid. You're just saying...IM BAD BUT
I COULD BE RIGHT. THE PEOPLE WHO ARE GOOD COULD BE WRONG.

THEREFORE, people should take bad people's opinions seriously?

Lol....

I think the point is just that it's correct to assume that a guy who's legend knows for sure what he's talking about, otherwise how did he get legend in the first place ? While most low rank folks don't know much, which is understandable.

And as Froggy says, just because someone is low rank, doesn't mean the guy doesn't know what he's talking about, it could be due to the fact that he's not trying to grind for legend and just plays fun decks (Like Kripp) or that he doesn't have enough cards to compete at the top.

You should take every opinion the same.. base it off of what they say.

And I'm not talking about myself whatsoever in this discussion.

Or his opinion is just correct regardless..

I do treat everyone's opinion the same, until I read it and evaluate it. In many cases, especially on this forum, people are FLAT OUT wrong, and you cannot convince them otherwise even though their misguided reasoning is laughable.

Just because they think they've defended their point well doesn't mean it stands, AT ALL

If someone is wrong and you know they're wrong, why don't you just stop talking to them about the subject?

In the end, all you'vebeen arguing for is that people who suck know what's going on and people who are good can be wrong. Good for you. That's great. But chances are, people who are higher rank know vastly more than people who are lower and their opinions should be valued much more highly.

Assuming both players are actually trying to climb in rank, then yes, the bold is correct.

But their opinion shouldn't be valued more highly because it can still be just as wrong or just as right.

What matters is the reasoning put behind an opinion.

People who aren't trying to climb in rank are playing against people who are likely very bad at the game, trolling with poor decks, or farming gold portraits.

Consequently, they are not likely to learn as much or be put into difficult situations that require genuine knowledge and understanding of the game and the meta, deck building, higher level mechanics and decision making that many lower rank players don't even know exist or are not capable of understanding due to lack of experience
