I had more than 10,000 gold saved. I spent it all on classic packs and opened 11 legendaries. 2 of them were golden.

It seems that, for the time being at least, the chance of getting a legendary in a pack is set to 10%.

11 legendaries from 100 packs is about 2% chance per card
The going rate is 1%
You might have just got lucky

i bought 10 classic and didn't get one it worked for the other 3 though
