Game health is more important than perfect balance
MTG learned this a long time ago

If more decks are viable but also interactive then there are more chances for players to be creative with decks AND more opportunities to out-skill your opponent
It's a win-win for every type of player

can't fathom playing it any longer. i've already ended wayyyy too many more matches than i like with 1-4hp
minions are worthless, at best stalls, until quest was played.

i think it just looked bad because of how the minions played. 1/1's become 5/5's. yes, but you don't automatically start with 7 charge minions. you either have crap minions on the board that could easily be killed, or you have a hand full of charge minions and are stressing how to even use them.
playing as and playing vs quest rogues... they seem like the most transparent opponent you can ask for. they show you what they aim, and if they aren't playing, then it's not a fast game.

idk, it's a good deck. i really didn't think it was that good though.

was about to post a topic about said deck

see theres already one

honestly i don't see how much will change. no matter what, you need to gear your deck to deal with low health minions early off. because of hunters/pirate warriors/evoshams/pally/etc.
you then need ways to deal with a mass of overwhelming minions. priests/pally/evosham/etc.

idk i'll stop there with references. instead i'll ask this question.

what changed in your deck since this quest changed? you still need those preventative cards for other classes.

i'll admit that priests had a rough match-up vs a quest rogue.

it's a shame that "priest" is the only class that has a natural weakness vs another class.
i loved when mages conceded to my quest rogue just because i was naturally weak vs the face dmg.

Most of the new spells aren't great for freeze mage. Glyph is pretty good, but it's good in every mage deck. Hardly just good for freeze mage lol.

Plus, he didn't say when will mage be bad. He simply said when will they take a hit... Which I clearly answered.

/e Oh and that fucker that digs for secrets. He's pretty good too.

if we speak only of un'goro and gadgetzan.
including the primordial glyph you mentioned. you also have meteor and a working quest as 2 key spells from un'goro
gadgetzan was lacking many good spells. still brought volcanic potion and quite a few pretty bad ass minions for mage class, that are used in most decks played in tourney.
i understand the question wasn't truly specific, and you answered as such. still, mages clearly have nothing to bitch about this season.

this rogue quest nerf was literally for control priests who hated stealing a 1/1 charge minion as much as rogues hated drawing them.

It was for LOTS of decks besides control priest

Again, I'll reiterate try to follow. Blizzard doesn't take nerfs lightly. They usually refrain from doing ANY at all until expansions.

The lash back from quest rogue (something tells me ALL these players don't play priest) was so great, they actually hot fixed it.

Oh and meteor and quest don't get included in freeze mage at all. So that's why I didn't mention them. :p
