quest is rigged because of the fact that its automatically drawn in the opening hand, I don't like that mechanic because card games should be randomized. there should be a risk/reward to building your deck a certain way if you don't draw into certain combos you have to know when to use them as "vanilla" cards to keep tempo and when to plan for a combo

agreed

then the quests become absolute trash

not always
the rogue can stll be completed easily and if the others became too hard to complete before the game ends then they could be fixed. Just lowered the required number of taunt minions, 1 cost minions, etc

Pirate Warrior and Quest Rogue seem strongest. Coincidentally the fastest decks in the meta.

Nobody would ever use a quest ever again.
You have to build your deck around it and it could be in the bottom half of your deck.. Auto loss.

Tier 1: Quest Control Warrior, Pirate Warrior
Tier 2: Quest Aggro Shaman, Elemental Shaman, Quest Rogue, Miracle Rogue, Token Druid
Tier 3: Midrange Hunter, Elemental Paladin, Elemental Mage, OTK Mage, Control Priest, Zoolock, Tempo Mage

Probably missing some.

Still too early and will change radically over the coming weeks (with the exception of Pirate Warrior probably remaining strong and possibly Control Warrior).

Idk that control warrior is t1. If there were more efficient ways to gain armour after using sulfuras, then yeah, for sure. It's a good deck nonetheless and it has potential to be a great tournament deck

I'm curious about Gadgetzan [quest] Warrior, or draw warrior. Run 1-cost and 2-cost taunts, but carry a lot of draw power.

testing it out

first game: worked great against hunter... gadgetzan feels redundant since deck has only 30 cards... need shuffle cards into deck mechanics

yep confirmed...

auctionmaster beardo + gadgetzan auctioneer + cheap taunts + draw power = huge potential

not sure how it'll perform in meta I don't have all pieces

what list of control war ? haven't seen any so far

Most popular is this list:

But I think the strongest lists run Curator and Fishes like

There's tons of room for variation, like whether to include Grom, Direhorn Hatchling, Bloodhoof, Ornery Direhorn, Tar Creeper, Deathwing, etc.. It will take time for the lists to become more standardized.

It's definitely T1 in the current meta though that's absolutely likely to change as deck popularity changes. The deck absolutely massacres Pirate Warrior, Token Druid, Freeze Mage, Elemental Shaman, and Zoo, all popular decks right now. It has very few bad matchups, only Control Priest and Elemental Pally maybe 50/50 vs Quest Rogue and Quest Shaman.

Quest decks would be categorically trash if this were how it worked. The game would be unplayable if games were determined by whether or not the Quest deck got lucky enough to draw his quest turn 1.

the fact is the quest is a card, if its only 1 in the deck just like reno is, which was arguably a huge piece to countering pirate warrior if not the most important piece, then why should quest be any different? if all classes inherently had a quest, then I would consider your argument. but at this point its just another card and should be randomized just like any other card.

Are you even thinking about the consequences?
Nobody would ever play a single quest if it was shuffled into your deck. Since the quest demands certain things to happen you need to have your deck designed around it. Which means you can't do anything until you get the quest.

so then the design for quest is flawed, why does it get an exception? that's an unjustified advantage to being able to tailor your deck around one card automatically.

The design is fine. It gets an exception because it's a unique mechanic. Just like how mages can have ice block and be completely immune on your turn.
Having 1 less card choice in your hand is not an advantage.
