Interesting. I don't get much Blizz news except here.

I am waiting for a card list.

Considering stopping paying any $$$ into the game if they don't hike up their pants and:
1) Cards aside, put effort into sprucing the game up. Brawls was not ground-breaking material, they've coasted.
2) Let the designer balls drop, so to speak, and come out with inspired, interesting cards. They don't want to make the game 'unfun' with combo cards, but they let zoo decks plague the meta. I'd be fine with rush decks existing, but the premise behind rush has always, always, always felt the same.
2a) Lose the "cards must be worded with very simple language" rule, or find a new way around it (ie. introduce field spells, an equivalent of planeswalkers, or some other new card type). Heck, consider releasing legendary spells. None of my specific suggestions are great ones, but the general idea behind pushing the game along is important... they're running the game in business-mode, no inspiration, no risk, keep a good thing going, don't break it, that's their motto.

I will be far too happy to see the day they get Hearthstone rolling in new directions.

as far as I know planeswalkers were one of the worst things done to mtg in a long time...

the rest though seems reasonable

Planeswalkers were pretty nice for standard rotation, imo (except the 4-cost Jace that was super super super OP). I really enjoyed them in I think 2012 or 2013 (I forget when I played).

But on the flip side, planes walkers were a bit much of a shift in the game (especially toward "I have this ultra rare OP card! I'm going to play as many as I can and protect it" kind of gameplay). When I played standard rotation in MTG, a lot of the strategies were about getting 2-3 planeswalkers on the field, and locking down. Thragtusk was ridiculous when working with planes walkers.

AH, i remember Jace the mind rapist hits the field is most effective way to control the game unless they bolt your jace twice. :D

By the way i have 4x foil Japanese Jace the Mind rapist ($1,000 each card) and 4x Chinese foil Jace the Mind rapist. :D

Who needs 8 asian foil jaces??????

I guess u got 2 legacy decks...

I disagree with pwers being bad for the game. They give control a way to win other than draw more cards, land a threat and protect it.

It gets kinda dumb when u get shit like gideon that just slots into an aggro deck on curve.

1k is pushing it with the reprints in EMA. The price has drastically fallen on JTMS in recent years. In fact, I think the only foreign foil still holding insane value is Russian because of the extremely limited print run.

Then again, what do I know? I'm probably just some pleb when it comes to Magic.
