m8 standard is the most important thing to complete (with complete i mean all the usable cards ofc)
Hearthstone isn't very beginner-friendly at the moment.
Someone who has been around from the start, who has used most of his daily quests, has earned at least 60 gold per day (or 21900 gold per year). Some users have definitely earned a lot more, but some don't do quests every day and earn less. But 21900 gold equates to about $219 worth of packs. Plus, there's free packs from release promotions, monthly rewards from ladder, and weekly brawl pack rewards. That adds up to about another 80 or so packs worth, which equates roughly to another $100.
So not playing the game is a $319 set-back, every single year, if you want to buy your way in. It's worse really, since as wings rotate out, you have to craft cards in those wings rather than pay the $20 to just crack the cards open. I've spent about $500 or so on the game, so that plus being in the game since the start... I'd have to pay at least $1200 to get a similar collection. I would estimate it's actually a bit higher to unlock 100% of the cards currently (which is what I have, plus additional gold and dust put away for this coming expansion).
