Almost no one is playing an aggro or a face deck right now.

Mid range Shaman just feels like aggro/face because all of their cards are so much better and more cost efficient that they always have enough board control to smack you down

Yeah I once lost like turn 4 as reno lock against midrange shaman. Their opening was like Trogg, wolves, flametongue, and some lightning bolts or something. It was brutal.

The problem is that no one class should "run" the meta

I also didn't like just before pre-standard how one-sided matchups become. Like, Druid almost always lost to Tempo Mage which almost always lost to Zoo which almost always lost Freeze Mage which almost always lost to Control Warrior, etc. Although there was better class representation on the ladder, there was not much inter-class (or more accurately class + archetype) balance.

/e Excluding the extremes of Shaman and Priest, I'd say individual matchups are more balanced now than pre-standard.

Can agree with that, but unfortunately as long as half of all decks are Shaman it doesn't matter :(

Yeah, I think shaman winrates will drop just as people learn to play against them and tech their decks better though.

I don't. Shaman cards are just simply better.
