It would help to know what deck OP is playing.

If he's F2P and doesn't have many cards, I'd recommend Tempo mage. I've got maybe 240 worth of dust in my tempo mage deck I just started on EU like last week, and already got to rank 10, and beating handlock is mostly just "realizing you're playing handlock" and saving large removal for big minions like that (polymorph on an argus'd mountain giant is great), and not hitting face past 21hp until you have some combination of fireballs/frostbolts in hand for lethal burst. It's about "surpirsing" them with damage they don't expect, try to bait them into a sense of security and convincing them to tap themselves down to like 15hp while you maintain board control, then go in for the kill when it's available.

Many of them get rope-a-dope'd when they see me running basic shit like swamp ooze, then they overextend and get shrekt.
