I was torn between Velen's and Cabal but playing a turn 3 Velens on a 1-2 drop just massacres any hopes of a deck getting tempo back against Priest without an immediate silence or hard removal

I'm pretty confident about all my other choices though

Unstable portal is a bad card imo.

Always will be.

Fire elemental is also shamans best card by a wide margin imo.

Personally I think Hex is slightly above.
Unstable Portal I voted for broken but not necessarily the strongest. When you play it you have a chance to just instantly win the game. That's a stupid thing to have in the game.

Eh. People say this and it's a massive exaggeration. Frostbolt goes in every single mage deck EVER, that's saying something.

It's not.
I had a turn 3 boulderfist against me the other day and I just had nothing to respond to it. BGH in my hand too lol

Then at the same time you can get a wisp and instantly lose the game. The card is busted.

I currently run 1 hellfire and 1 shadowflame. Suggestions?

I think you have a lot of early game in that deck list. I got Sylvanas in mine, and I have a chow as well. I don't have imp-losion. nor the power overwhelming or 1 more which I cant remember. My favourite part of this deck is fighting back from being on the ropes. I which there were more cards that gave you a bonus like molten giant for being low on hp and skill kicking ass.

FYI. Lord Jax into molten doesn't work. Play molten first. lol. tough lesson.

I am very curious about this thread bcuz handlock is really fun and engaging to me. So keep the side topics out. Thanks. Im gunna climb with Handlock next ladder as well.

Double darkbomb, double zombie chow, double hellfire is the way to go against an aggro meta. If it that bad you can even throw in earthenring? (the 3 drop that heals you? Idr name)
Keep 1 shadowflame though imo.
