I've seen reynad playing it a few weeks ago, I am not sure of the full list of the deck he used since I didn't pay much attention.

I am just thinking about the possibilities of using a cool card that's rarely seen.



that's why I discarded the possibilities and talked about fearsome doomguard and dread.

Honestly though, if you get a free Illidan, you get a 7/5 and then can get some free 2/1's.

I don't see it as a bad thing.

The problem with Illidan is he has 5 health and an effect thats not instant. Yes he has good synergy with Voidcaller but he's just do EASILY removed. Compare him to Confessor Paletress, Dr Boom and even Troggzor.

Well, if you get it on your turn, the effect is instant as you'll get to play the cards right away.

Would you prefer a vanilla 7 mana 6/8 ?

And the result is a board full of 2/1s that are easily dealt with and can't be used till the turn after. I think the 6/8 would be much better, EXTREMELY hard to deal with from a Voidcaller, especially if it came out turn 4

and if the card remains in your hand, it's worse than illidan.

also.. easily dealth with ? You'll play cards to summon those 2/1.. and your opponent will have to deal with them.

then they have to deal with illidan too

Youre vastly over estimating how useful a board full of 2/1s is late game.

twisting nether
doomsayer + some sort of board freeze

I could go on, but the above ones are actually occasionally used in constructed, the rest begin to get silly like 'Flame Leviathan'

He's barely scraping the ice here with how easily they're dealt with. I'd rather have a 6/8
