Get the expansions then decide if you want to buy packs.

Yeah there are plenty of reasonable replacements for leeroy/quickshot
have to remember facehunter did fine in the past without quickshot..

scientist would be a big deal.. I think naxx has the most important cards if you were going to choose to get one or the other first.

When did i say the face hunter needed to be basic? These were two different sentences, don't nitpick me. If i say there's a million decks i obviously don't mean you need to make a face hunter. You can make one of the other million.

You said Face Hunter can beat 80% of the normal mode bosses and the way you said it, implies that Face Hunter is part of basic card deck list. When it's not. What's the point to say that ? We're talking about the fact that this guy has literally no card in his collection.

We have to assume he might not even have cards like abusive sergeants, Leper Gnome, etc.

Basic cards = cards that you have when you play game for the first time, thus no commons/rares/epics/legendaries.

Also I am not saying it's impossible to do, but as far as I remember, I used to use regular decks that I use on ladder for normal mode, pretty much beat everything first try but there are some bosses where I actually needed to make custom deck even on normal because it would beat stuff like Handlock / mech mage, etc.

So I'm thinking that if this guy has 0 card and some bosses aren't even doable with good decks, he might have a really hard time with basic decks.

Why say it? Because face hunter is cheap af and beats 80% of them. You don't need to nitpick as i said earlier, you simply made an incorrect assumption. And no he won't have trouble with basic cards just youtube it you are wrong. So many videos and guides to beat nax and brm with basic cards.
