They did that to nat pagle, why wouldn't they do it to to him?
a good point but thaurissan is just lowering mana costs vs adding cards to your hand, if your hand is empty he has given you no value, but if a pagle is played on an empty hand he has a 50% chance to double your hand size. The difference is thaurissan is situational where pagle's ability was more often then not just a straight gain.. There was also the similarity between pagle and mana tide totem, which might have conflicted/pushed the nerf.. im not too sure what reasoning blizzard had at the time.
I have been running thaurissan in my priest deck pretty much just in place of a Harrison, but I think thaurissan is a little over rated. The main thing he has going for him is that he works pretty fairly in all match ups, where Harrison falls flat sometimes..
Switching his text to read at the start of turn would just make putting him down slightly more situational, while at the same time having the added benefit of reducing the cost of the first card you draw in a turn? Idk either way I think he's over rated.. Its possible he's nerfed, but I feel like he's less impactful on decks in general then Dr.Balanced, and so who cares?
