Hey guys, Craig from Winnipeg here on Dan's computer.



As we say around discussing our hopes and plans for the future, I realized something very special.

In a game of HOTS that our boy Sneakiiii on twitch was hosting, we started to think about how the banning phase in HOTS takes too long, it makes the game take longer and thus takes away the fun of playing the game.

As I poured Chase from Baytown Texas, currently in Dallas as he finishes his schooling to become a programmer, another drink. Chase made the comment, "its the problem hearthstone doesn't have"

Bam, like a video game christmas new year miracle it hit us.



BANNING IN HEARTHSTONE would fix meta.

During the pick phase add 15 seconds, to chose 3 cards you want banned from the opponents deck.

They can be any cards, neutrals included. There is no for sure here, you might pick 3 cards not in his deck at all. Or you might ban Fiery War Axe and remove 2.

In some cases you could remove 6 cards total, and nerf a deck.

This alone would create so many more decks, and force the net deck to be weakened.

yeah just doesn't mesh well with hearthstone, nor is it the equivalent of banning champs in hots/league.
(Its more like banning abilities once they choose their champ which would be ridiculous)

It would be a huge disincentive to playing any sort of combo deck, and render cards included to counter decks meaningless.
When you build a deck you kinda want the cards to actually be in it.

It would also add confusing clutter at the start of games.

Don't forget it basically renders the entire reno archetype irrelevant. If this was added tomorrow you would just ban kazakus and reno vs the reno classes and their deck is now shit lol.

If this is implemented in hs it will be the day hs dies lol.

I just want a best-of-3 conquest style ladder so you don't lose to one OP deck or one bad matchup.

/d obviously matches will be much longer, but I'd even support a best of 5 ladder. Just make it less wins to get legend. Would reward the best players who understand the meta and multiple decks.
