Should I get WotOG packs or Regular?
I think regular since my collection is thin but just wondering your guys opinions.
Seems WotOG brought some sick cards.

i dunno, personally i'd go 2:1 classic to whispers until you start getting a lot of classic repeats.

Classic probably.

Do you still get full dust for nerfed cards?

If so definitely classic.

Classic, since you have more chance of keeping a legendary you pull in a pack vs whispers you will most likely just dust him ... not every card but I mean odds are in your favour with classic.

Classic sticks with you for standard play.

Imo it's all in or not all in. Spend 500 on the Amazon store, open 700 packs or whatever, and you're in the game. Not all original packs of course.

If you don't spend the money to get started, it's a long journey of not having what you need.

Those who were in it from the start have the benefit of monthly, daily, weekly, and bonus rewards that all have added up. I've spent probably about maybe 600 on hearthstone since its release. Probably about 180 on arenas, 180 on original packs, 100 on gvg, 120 on TGT, 60 on wings, 0 on the new expansion.

Downside is it is expensive. Upside is I will only need to spend 70 over the next year on the next wing and next expansion to have all the cards still (since I've already invested prior and could save up dust & don't need other cards now).

That takes the fun out of collecting though! :P I'm quite likely in the vast minority, but I enjoy collecting cards more than actually playing the game. Earning each pack or enough gold to buy one and then opening it is exciting for me... the gameplay, not as much.

Does ... not ... compute ....
I don't understand I mean if it was a real card game I can see it but not when its all digital, I mean you can't really show it off or anything you just own virtual images that are on a server somewhere.

If I collected real cards, I can assure you I wouldn't be "showing them off" to anyone :D Makes zero difference to me that they are digital. I like the collecting aspect, not the fact that the collection is material or not. It's like Pokemon practically... digital, but gotta catch 'em all.
