I'll start by saying I'm a pretty good player, not the best

I average around rank 4-5, been struggling to push the legend.



We all know freeze mage and its slight variants. I wanted to get peoples insight on the "bomb" in freeze mage decks

Usually antonidas/pyro. I happen to think Antonidas is way too slow and with all the hard removal going around he never sticks long enough for the final burst

I've recently swapped it up and made a Malygos freeze mage and I'm finding it significantly more fun and slightly more consistent.

The negatives are that it makes the control warrior matchup even more unwinnable and for the combo to truly work wonders you have to Thaurrisan with at least 2 ice lances, Maly, and a frost bolt in your hand.


Some things I've been toying with.

Pyroblast. I don't know if it really helps this deck as its based more on OTK and bursting. Pyroblast....eh.

What do you guys think? Here's my current deck list I want to really push the ratings with.

i had say for sure.you should replace pyroblast with 1 more acolyte or with 1 torch or with one more flamestrike since the meta now is over 60% aggro decks

also malygos doesnt fit in this meta at all since as i said there are too many aggro decks. vs reno/warrior decks,u probably need malygos.

I wouldn't even worry about the control warrior matchup. It's still so unlikely that freeze will win.

malygos freeze shits on warrior.but this isnt the situation in this topic.

I know healbot was trending a tiny bit towards the end of BRM-early TGT freeze mage meta, but honestly it alone is a tech towards probably your worst mu's, and even in that case it's really not doing much..
You run double barrier and alexstraza... if you can't manage your life total between those three cards theres a serious problem with the plays, or your simply in a bad mu... and why tech towards a mu you expect to lose anyway? :/

Never a fan of healbot in freeze... I've played freeze variations at legend, never with healbot. You need a second acolyte... And you definitely don't need pyroblast with malygos.. -- generally those are the cards swapped out.

Cutting antonidas seems really bad also.. Antonidas isn't supposed to stick.. He's supposed to give you enough fireballs the turn you play him to have sufficient burst. In the case he sticks.. well, GG you won.

->last card is alex.(i'm not fun of cone of cold),i feel sheep is important in this cancerous meta.healbot is useless.u have huge amount of heal already with alex+double block+barriers.

I think this list is bad. Explosive sheep and double flamestrike is silly.
