What is the best place to farm for end game gear? Just doing dalies? What is this "one shot" thing I keep hearing about?

I see a slot for a legendary, but have never seen one drop, I assume they are ultra rare, or is there a place to farm them? Do costumes/heroes only drop from certain places now? I have yet to see one.

Sorry for all the noob questions, I just came back to the game and am still trying to figure everything out. What are these "GOK" that seem to sell well here?

Thanks

best to farm: Cosmic Terminals, Cosmic MM or ICP

You buy Legendaries with odin marks. 300 odin marks to buy one. from the person in asgard.

Costumes drop anywhere. Certain hero tokens drop from Cosmic MM, maybe ICP too.

Gotk is Gem of the Kursed. Kurse drops them. they are pretty cheap nowadays if u wanna just buy one. its an artifact

no you cant go past the lvl 10 cap for starter heroes. unless you buy/unlock the hero. They let you level up starter heroes to lvl 10 to test them out before you buy it.

Costumes drop only in the rarest of cases, don't count on a costume to drop for you anywhere :)

Do your Cube Shard runs (green / red terminals) and join the LFG (Looking For Group) chat. Observe for 5 minutes, volunteer and work on your achievements / gear.

Progression seems so repetitive now, which is what it is. I rolled Captain America. I heard he was pretty decent?

What characters would you guys say are the most overpowered or just really good/fun/powerful character. I heard Venom, Scarlet Witch, and Iceman? Is that about accurate?

I hear Doom is pretty disappointing on the test servers. Something about summoning being the only viable build? That seems pretty lame to me. Not a huge necro fan. And honestly, that's who I was saving my eternity splinters for. So, if any other character would be better, shoot me some ideas. Otherwise, I heard captain america is pretty decent? Can someone link a good build? I've seen a decent 45 tks build, but it seemed super squishy to me. Anyone have a decent survivability itemized build they can link? I still don't know all the artifacts and things available to me, so I'm a little hesitant to do anything with my tokens and whatnot.

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to read guys.

This is essentially the definitive Captain America guide. It's a nice balance of survivability and DPS. For example, at 4500 Omega Points I am sitting on about 28k health with this build. My TTK is around 45 sec or so. Will be much lower TTK when I reach 7500 Omega.

Additionally, here's my short list of top tier heroes:

Venom (although he's getting nerfed/fixed on the test center this week)
Scarlet Witch
Hulk
Iceman
Captain America

It is worth investing your Eternity Splinters for any of the above, though I would hesitate buying Venom right now.
Scarlet Witch is the least gear-dependent of all of the top tier heroes, and she's simply amazing. I would suggest starting there if you like spell casters.
If not, Hulk and Captain America are both very solid, but require a little more rare artifacts to reach their full power.

In regards to Doctor Doom, don't give up too early on him. He's got a couple of viable builds as of right now, but there's still nearly a week of iteration and testing to do.
My only problem with him is that his damn Doombots don't have cloaks! Ugh!!!!!! But, honestly, he's gonna be sick.

Cool, yeah I'm gonna wait to see what happens with Doom, but will keep those other options in mind. What made Venom so insane, that they are nerfing him now?

There are two things. First, his ability called Infect places a debuff on nearby enemies that weakens them by 10%, which is a standard ability, but it also makes it so that when Venom deals damage to a weakened enemy he heals for a percentage of health. That percentage scaling is out of control and makes him essentially invulnerable to death.

The second issue is one of his DPS skills is applying multiple instances of its damage over time component, so his damage is mistakenly higher than it should be. This was an undetected bug and is now being fixed.
