who is overall more fitted for end game content ?

i did some research and read that neither are top tier, but neither are bad.

also read that these were some of the top heroes:
squirrel girl
iceman
jugg
hulk
psylocke

who else?

If your going to pick one of those, pick gambit, Nc sucks atm, gambit is pretty good. There really arnt any top tier heroes.. Theyre all pretty good, just pick one that you like and play it. There are a few OP heroes tho. Capt America and Venom are sick strong. Not sure who else is OP tho.

i'd really rather pick someone who can do well in end game but also be somewhat versatile for groups. and id like to just have 1 main till he/she was a boss

Thought I would weigh in on the discussion. Neither Gambit nor Nightcrawler are top tier, as you already know. Personally, Gambit is one of my top two favorite X-Men, so he was one of my first purchases. He's much better than he used to be, but you need some pretty stellar gear to make him competitive. The same can be said for Nightcrawler--once he is DECKED out, he's good. But it's a huge investment to get him there.

As far as your other question, regarding top tier heroes. The top five would look something like this, in no particular order:

Venom
Scarlet Witch
Hulk
Captain America
Iceman

It all depends on what type of playstyle you like in games. Mages, tanks, bruisers, glass cannons, etc. If you give me more information I can try to steer you in the right direction.

P.S. Starlord is pretty decent with average gear.
