Update:

As we approach the full release of raids, we are looking to bolster our membership by accepting a larger number of "casual" players.
While the guild is focused on Red (Hard mode) raid progression, we would like to provide an environment where all guild members
can pick up and join a Green (Easy mode) raid, without having to go through the trouble of putting together a pug, or playing with a
bunch of strangers they aren't familiar with.

What we expect from you:

Our casual membership requirements are significantly less than our hardcore raid requirements.

We only ask that you have at least one raid-ready hero (4 blessings, rank 5 legendary), a few hero synergies and a few hundred
Omega points. We will not do a TTK test for casual players (Unless they apply to be a full raider), but you should be able to pull a
TTK time of around 20 seconds on the high health dummy.

What we can offer you:

We have a very active group of hardcore players that spend most of their time pushing themselves to the limits. If you wish to push
yourself to the next level, these guys can be your best resource.

We run an organized, partial pickup, non-sanctioned raid at least once a day. We offer you the opportunity to raid, without the
hassles, chaos, and lack of leadership of some pickup groups.

Who we are:

The Misunderstood is a new raid guild formed with the intent of developing a tight-knit group of dedicated players whose principal goal
is to complete hard-mode raids. We represent all that is good about elitism (ambition, dedication, perseverance, intelligence,
cooperation, camaraderie, and the desire to transcend our limitations) but none that is bad (egoism, exclusivism, condescension.)

Our Mission:

We believe in a higher calling. We believe that as experienced players who have extensive knowledge of heroes, itemization, and
encounters, it is our duty to the community to give back. We believe that everyone has the capability of being an elite player, and,
should they desire, it is our mission to help them achieve that goal. We will always be more than happy to help anyone discover how
best to prepare their heroes for end-game raiding.

Our Goal:

Our goal is to be at the forefront of whatever PvE content Marvel Heroes has to offer. Whether it be cosmic or chaos terminals,
endless dungeons, or raids, we want to stand at the top. We are the type of players who do hard modes for no loot, just to say that
we can.

Our Schedule:

We are guild primarily housed in the US, and as such, we will have official raid times centered around that schedule. The official raid
time will be Saturday and Sunday 12pm-3pm EST (9am - 12pm server). Thanks to the nature of raid lockouts in Marvel Heroes,
members are encouraged to raid together at any time of the day, given enough players, and encouraged to bring outside members
from the community together for pick-up raids outside of our official raid schedule. The more people that are raiding in this game,
the happier we are.

We are currently recruiting only for our Wednesday night 8pm-11pm EST raid.

Requirements:

Because our primary focus is hard-mode raiding, we expect all applicants to be prepared. In Marvel Heroes terms, this means you
have at least one raid-ready hero.

Correct itemization, 4 blessings, a rank 5 legendary, cosmic/unique ring, and end-game insignia are the itemization prerequisites.

We also expect our members to have at least 10 proper synergies for their raid hero, and we expect our members to earn, on
average, at least 10 Omega points per day.

The minimum Omega point level is now 500 Omega points.

We ask this to ensure that our raiders remain competitive even as content scales, and future content is released.

Using the “Raid Guild” standard TTK test, we expect all heroes to achieve a TTK of 14 seconds or less. The standard raid test is a
two-person group in the training room, killing the boss dummy without ultimate. Players who have secondary resources that build
over time (Hulk, Squirrel Girl, etc.) must start from zero secondary resources.

If you want to test yourself, a good practice test is to use the training DPS dummy (the lower one, which has similar hp to two player
boss dummy) This is not as accurate as the above test, however, since it is not tagged as a "Boss" for boss damage effects.

Beyond itemization requirements, we also expect our members to be able to take constructive criticism, and display high levels of
personal responsibility. In an end-game raiding environment, mistakes happen. We expect our members to be able to own up to
their mistakes, and actively seek ways to correct them.

And while we aim to always be friendly, courteous, and hospitable to our fellow members and our community, we expect our
members to not be easily offended. We are an adult guild, and it is not uncommon for us to poke fun at each other, or use
foul language.

We also expect our members to be courteous to the community, particularly on the forums. While it is our goal to help propagate facts
and help correct misconceptions, it is very important that our messages do not come across as inflammatory or condescending.

What we are looking for:
We are currently looking for a few top tier heroes to round out our roster.

Application process:

If you believe you meet our requirements, and that your and our goals align, then we encourage you to apply at our website, which can
be found at http://www.misunderstoodraiding.com/ . Once you fill out the application,
an officer will contact you in game for an interview. If we believe you would make a good fit, then we will invite you for a brief inspection
and TTK trial.

Please be aware that we take the application process quite seriously. We have designed the guild from the ground up to mimic the progression
raid guilds in traditional MMOs, and we expect you to put the same time and effort into your application as you would if you were applying to
a top 50 WoW or top 5 Rift guild.

Applicants will be given a two week probationary period, for the primary purpose of ensuring that new members are active and fit in well
with the group. At the end of the trial period, you should be promoted to full member.

If you have any questions feel free to send me a private message on the forums, the website, in game, or hop on our mumble.

** A note about our progression:

We do not believe that it is in the proper spirit of raiding to exploit encounters. While we understand everyone has their own opinions on this
matter, it is strictly against guild policy to abuse an exploit in order to kill a boss, even if the boss is cannot be defeated without exploit.
For this reason, and this reason only, we have placed a halt on all Surtur progression until the portal issues are fixed.
