How so? He probably bought his 06 account.
It was a joke, you're both being idiots, like anyone cares about the account information past 2/3 rule.
Also, just because he's an '06 with low posts doesn't mean he bought it. People don't care about join date like they used to, so there's no real benefit to buying an old account.
Perhaps he did what I did - signed up for d2jsp when he used to play d2, prior to it being required for trading/etc, and didn't end up using it because he didn't like to/want to/need to? Personally, I hate d2jsp for d2. Trading was really enjoyable, and held a better economy (IMO) - it also made things like ladder resets much more enjoyable, because people weren't already rich at the beginning. I only use it now that I came back after missing a few ladder resets because it's required, you cannot gear a character/sell/trade items without it.
These are just guesses, though.
Either way, I like that he exposed it - a game in it's infancy doesn't need an exploit this big - more expose = more reports = a quicker hotfix, and nobody should be able to profit off of an exploit that many already know. Plus the dude was charging 200fg for it - that's hilariously steep.
You're blaming him, when you should blame whoever it was that tried to capitalize on it - the reason that the private dupers for D2 have hundreds of thousands of FG is because they have been wise enough to keep their mouth shut about it, and not try to sell it for FG/$, but rather make gains from it's use.
