Cable, is good vs bosses that stand still, or close to melee range. As for Storm, gear has a lot to do with it. Also build. In MH you should never really die unless you are speed rushing content. There are just not that many spiky fights. Unless of course you gear only dps affixes and then you will die often to easy encounters.

Try changing your relics to Lemuria, using a Life Leech core, and staying on the move. Storm is a hero that with projectile deflection you should be able to destroy just about anything and avoid most damage.

I use attilian atm, so u think lemuria would be better?


All of my affixes on costumes are dmg because i mean, isn't that best for storm (I have about 2k dmg)

U must have sick gear or night crawler is that good
Edit: i think I'm gonna lvl my SW first tbh, thanks all of you for giving me cable builds, but now can u also tell me the best/general SW build (relic, costume affix, etc)

My best ttk on red t4 Doom was 43 seconds with GR. Gear was uniques/zigg/hod/squirrel distress call/xerogen/Gungnir/4 helas

Well considering this is a game where death has very little impact on your play, I would say do what you are comfortable with.

Speaking from a dps perspective alone, stacking damage affixes to the exclusion of survivability is retarded. It doesn't matter if a player can get to 400k dps if they die after 10 seconds of damage output. Then they spend 10 seconds getting back into the fight; during which time they are doing zero damage. This player has an effective dps of 200k. I'd rather see players going with a smart mix of affixes that result in a hero that does not die at all and generates 300k dps output. Their numbers wont look as good on the dummies in the training room but will ultimately provide 50% more damage in combat.

Also consider that this game like most games features heavy diminishing returns. So blindly stacking damage will eventually net you lost points and inefficient gains. It is much better to spread some of those affixes to survivability which will net only a small loss of dps but a large gain in survivability.

Honestly if you are ever dying consistently you need to swap your affixes around for more survivability. Whether it be standing in fire or stacking to few defensive stats you need to survive to deal damage. So stacking damage is useless if you are dead.

yea i have a sw that facerolls the game, and both of those builds are lacking..all you need to do is max chaos warp, combusting hex, chaos magic, hex binding and ravenous binding. that leaves you 30 points to do whatever you please, max a basic, play a no-basic build by maxing chaotic hex, or abuse bewildering hex (it will be nerfed by her 52 review, so don't get used to it). Put spare points into ruinous flux, warding veil etc. Use river of the soul runeword for infinite spirit. Lmk if you have any questions
