Better off buying items, the server admins monitor all transactions on their server very carefully and flag anything even remotely suspicious. Trading for large sums of plat is a surefire way to get yourself a ban, especially since a lot of people around here seem to be informants working for Rogean.
That said, good luck, I've been trying to buy plat and Bard items on P99 as well. Nobody seems to be selling.
