I played on Shards of Dalaya for close to a year, by far the best one I found. Though it's not a direct port, they jumbled up a ton of zones to give the game a smoother curve and less super dangerous travel to get to level appropriate areas.

project 1999 broke over 525 players last night and it keeps growing. closest thing you will find to classic atm.

ive been playing on custom servers i think its very very fun way better than SoD imo
