this is just a heads up from a former eq player who tried buying/selling on jsp

You will never ever get 10fg/1k on JSP(especially considering it only takes about an hour to make 100k+), you will probably never sell it at all, but if you are serious about selling I would lower your ratio significantly, maybe if you were on Firiona Vie you might have a chance to sell at a much lower, but not Xegony .

also, you won't find a mediator for EQ

Already found a willing mediator for eq, in addition the game has changed to such a rate that 5k an hour is miraculous, eq plat goes 200-350$ per million these days. Id also like to point out it can be transered to any server for 25$. At less then 10fg/1k ratio, I'd be better off keeping it as it's value is only rising

changed miraculously since April 2010? we are talking about the first EQ right? you can make more than 5k an hour selling vendor trash.. not to mention the easy 20k(value) items you get from about 100000000000 different named mobs you can find up at any given time.

also, eq plat goes for about $80/mil, that is if you can find anyone to sell it(because it isn't worth any sites time to sell this stuff).

the value of plat is spiking, has been with every new expansion, more and more bots/hackers & less and less actual players, and the players that stick around are raiders who have no need to buy plat.

You are pretty much just making this up as you go along, stop spamming my post wiith non-sense

even if you think its worth $200+ i highly doubt you will ever see that much.... most sites quit selling/buying everquest stuff a while ago

You are either trolling me and everyone here, or you are delusional, I have been playing since the public beta, I know this game pretty damn well, and it is obvious you don't.

I will give you examples then I will be on my way, I would wish you good luck but it won't help you.

I assume since you are such an EQ master you are level 85, so here are a few ways a level 85 can make 100k in an hour.

Camping Seru
There are 4 mobs(plus Seru, easily soloable) that drop a bridle worth 60k, they respawn once every couple days, usually 1/6 or so drop this item, and it is a very easy camp that takes about 3 minutes to check (less time if you camp a tracker in the zone)

Farming vendor trash
There are several zones in which the mobs have a really high chance of dropping diamonds and other valuable vendor trash, for example Gyrospire Zeka(also has several instanced versions, so you can keep repopping the whole zone), easily solo'd (I would not recommend this method, but if you chose to do it even on a slow day you would make at least 25k/hour and some decent AA's)


Old named mobs
No level req/tradeable gear are a goldmine for players looking to twink their characters for whatever reason, here is a short list. (keep in mind each drop is an easy 20k in any servers bazaar except maybe Firiona Vie, it is much easier to make money there)

Ssraeshza Temple - Jam packed full of money making potential, with tradeable twink items and chances of snagging a bridle, it is hard not to make money here.
Trakanon - Very easy solo, drops tradeable twink items.
Western Wastes - Jam packed with Named mobs ready to drop various Tradeable no level req apparel.
Cazic Thule - Couple mobs there with pretty common drops worth 10kish
Old Sebilis - Fungus Covered Scale Tunic, easily worth 40k, usually more.
Wall of Slaughter - There are a few items here that only have a Recommended level, easy money.
Kael Drakkel - This is my favorite zone to acquire valuables, not only because there are 3 or 4 named mobs that are almost always up, but because it is a fun zone. Chestplate of Vindication you can usually sell the loot rights too, if you are in to that, also Vindi's head is for a druid quest for some damn fine gloves.
The Avatar of War, is an easy kill and drops 4 items worth 40k+ and one of them is worth an easy 100k.

I could go on but lets move on to another category.


Gate Potion making
Not many people know about this one, but if you have about 50k to start off with and you use it to make gate potions, you will net about 75k, an easy 25k for very little work once you are capable of making them.

Powerleveling/Progressioning/Epic Camping for other people
This is a big one, almost the best money you can get, because money is so fucking easy to make in this game, people will offer it to experienced players in exchange for services, such as the ones stated above, they are very easy to complete, and will fetch you at least 100k an hour if you are good at the game.

Here is the big one, Cultural Armor/Aug Tradeskilling
If you have the patience to build up a tradeskill (I assume a pro such as your self does) you can make the best money possible in EQ, here is what people will pay just so they don't have to work on their tradeskills.
Cultural Armor- Depending on the level of the set 10-300k profit, and they provide you with the materials.
Cultural Weapons - These ones could fetch you 50-100k each, simply because most people would rather spend all their money on 1 weapon instead of several pieces of armor.
Augs - Usually about 20k each, and of course they supply the materials.

Lastly
While you do any of these things, you will be picking up Defiant armor(not worth what it used to be but still worth a bit,especially the chest/legs) Tradeskillables (Lucidem, Marrow, Silk, Ore etc) and Vendor trash, all worth money.


Anyone who actually plays EQ can vouch this (doubt there is any other serious players here though)
