Hey ho

I just restarted playing Gothic I and wondered if someone is playing / played any game of the Gothic Series ?

If so : Wich game do you like the most / wich part of it and why?

I for myself like Gothic I, and fall in love when i hear Gothic II

My favorite is Gothic II with the Add on.

But in my opinion Piranha Bytes and Joywood failed with Gothic III

Many reasons...from the huge bugs over the bad battle system to the rare Story...

I mean it's a Role playing Game...not a action game, but when i played it i felt like i would be in Doom 3 sometimes

Defeating thousands of Orks hour for hour, save a City again and again and the other Quests were like all the same. (Collect this amount of something and bring it back - great )

So...what about you?

Gothic 2 is simply the best game ever made. Period.
I also don't think gothic 3 is "crap". Yes, it had bugs, but I don't think it's anything dumb with the story? While in other RPGs there are "good vs evil" it's nothing that is really evil or good in gothic 3.
Anyway, gothic 2 is the best game ever made.

The story isn't nearly that good and well made than it is in Gothic I - II

It's way too action based for an Roleplay game, that's what i tried to say

Anyone else know the Series and wanna give me some input?

If you don't know it, simply don't post....

I'm just interested in other opinions about those games, espacially the gameplay movement from 1 & 2 3rd.
